Franchise #10
Franchise #10 has been entrenched in TCBA since the very beginning of the leagueβs existence, originally known as the Waukesha Freemen, dating back to the late 19th century under the guidance of orator Ken Sajdak. In late 1972, responding to published reports that named Sajdak as possibly βDeep Throat,β Sajdak sold his franchise to a little known government employee, Joe Elinich, who quietly moved the franchise to Pittsburgh for the 1973 season. Little is known of the connection between the Sajdaks and the Elinichs, except that each family once operated a TCBA franchise in the early years of the 20th century. Mysteriously, they each had disappeared from the public eye by the end of 1973.
